Welcome to the Area 17 website and forum. Thanks for taking the time to visit (hopefully this is the first of many). The aim of this forum is to allow members of British Showjumping from across the country to have their say on anything and everything and for riders and trainers to share information and knowledge about the sport we're all so passionate about. To some show jumping is a hobby, to others it is a profession and a way of life but regardless of which one of those you are we all have valid opinions and can learn from one another.
British Showjumping is in a rather bad way at the moment, and their is a great deal of discontent among the members. We can't speak for other areas but here in Area 17 we're none to happy with that. You, the members, are the lifeblood of the sport and need to be put at the top of the pile, not treated like undervalued customers. To that effect, this site and forum is intended to keep everyone up to date on any and all changes within your sport and allow an unrestricted exchange of ideas and bring clarity to the sport.
This is also a place for sharing knowledge and encouraging riders to progress within the sport so if someone has a question, ASK IT, and if you know the answer don't hesitate to dive in and help them out!
